The 2 test match series between India and South Africa is starting from 14th November in Kolkata. The Indian team is considered very strong on its soil. Former South African captain Graeme Smith has said that South Africa will have to start the Test series strongly and try to win the first Test. It is difficult to make a comeback in Indian conditions.
Graeme Smith said, “South Africa will have to face Jasprit Bumrah boldly in the beginning of the innings and after that they will have to face the Indian spinners with caution. If 2-3 wickets fall in the beginning and then the spinners come, then it will be difficult for the team. The team will have to avoid losing wickets in the beginning.”
Praising fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, Graeme Smith said that he is definitely the leader of the attack, and how he is able to create rhythm with the new ball will be important for the team captained by Temba. The spin duo of Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer can prove dangerous, but how the fast bowlers handle reverse swing will be equally important.
