Russia-ukraine war: Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky made a shocking statement on Tuesday (April 8). He alleged that Chinese soldiers along with Russia’s army have also joined the war. Jailonsky says that the Ukrainian army has taken two Chinese troops captive in the Donetsk region of East Ukraine.
He further informed that a total of 6 Chinese fighters have clashed with Ukrainian soldiers. There is a possibility that other units in Russia may also include many more Chinese soldiers. Jailonsky has also released a video of a Chinese soldier caught, so that a clear message is sent internationally. He said that I have ordered our officials to get official answers on this from the Chinese government. However, so far no statement has come from the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

China now after North Korea?
A few months ago, there were reports of Russia getting military assistance from North Korea, under which North Korean soldiers were deployed in the Kursk area. During that time many North Korean soldiers died during the war. However, in the latest case related to China, it is not yet clear whether the caught Chinese citizens were working on the orders of China or privately joined the fight. The Chinese government has not given any official statement so far. Nor is it accepted or rejected by the identity of the people caught.
International response and the role of America
Jailonsky also said that he is waiting for the response of the US and Western allies on the matter. He has said to take this issue to the United Nations and G7 levels. However, before this incident, America has warned countries that are helping Russia in the fight against Ukraine.
