UP Women Night Shift Rules:The Uttar Pradesh government has made a big change regarding the permission of women to work in night shifts. Earlier in many places women could work only during the day. But now the way has been opened to work from 7 pm to 6 am.

Written consent will be necessary
Now women have been allowed to do night shift in Uttar Pradesh. But its most important rule is the written consent of the female employee. No company can force a woman to work at night. No woman will be asked to work in night shift without the written consent of the employee. This is the most important rule of night shift.

These facilities will be available
Women doing night shifts will also be provided facilities by the company. They will get the facility of safe transportation. Be it a company cab or any other vehicle. It will be necessary to have CCTV at the work place. So that every activity is recorded. Security guards, medical emergency support and health facilities are also included in this. The government has made it clear that there will be no compromise on security. Only because of these provisions will women be able to work without fear.

Rules regarding overtime also changed
Along with the permission for night shift, the overtime limit has also been increased. Earlier women could work overtime only up to 75 hours in a quarter. But now this limit has been increased to 144 hours. Its direct benefit will be in the form of more income. Double salary will also be given for overtime. To strengthen the security, arrangements like 1090 Women Power Line, 112 Helpline and Safe City Project are also deployed.
Also got permission to work at these places
After the new order, women can now work in night shifts in almost every industrial sector. Earlier she could work only in 12 types of businesses. But this scope has been increased to 29 places. This change is not limited to just the IT or service sector. Rather, it will also apply to those places which were earlier considered risky. The government says that women can work in any sector. This order, which came into effect after the approval of the President, opens new doors of employment.
