In Bihar Assembly elections 2025, NDA gave such a performance which will be discussed for a long time. BJP was seen taking a decisive lead on about 90 seats and the entire alliance crossed the 200 mark. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah played a major role in this victory, but it is also believed within BJP that the third big strategist of the elections was Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who stayed in Bihar continuously from September 2024 and worked on the nuances of the elections.

After Dharmendra Pradhan was made the election in-charge, he strengthened the entire election machinery up to the booth level. He remained directly connected with the workers in villages, towns and districts month after month and saw the micro management plan himself. Many things came to light in his ABP interview which made it clear that the victory was not a coincidence but a well-planned strategy.

Was such a big victory expected?

Dharmendra Pradhan said that he already believed that the people of Bihar would lean towards NDA. He said that the voters of the state took the decision keeping in mind the long-term development work. He also said that women, youth and poor sections gave strong support to the NDA because they believed in stability and policy work.

‘I am not a craftsman, just a worker’- Dharmendra Pradhan

When Dharmendra Pradhan was asked whether the history like 2010 was repeated again, he politely said that all the credit belongs to the public. He described himself as just a worker who worked on the instructions of the organization.

What was the reason behind such a grand victory?

According to Pradhan, the real reason was the thinking and aspirations of the people. People looked for alternatives and they got faith in NDA. He said that the issues in the elections were related to development and the public gave their opinion on this.

Pradhan’s answer to the allegation of giving money to women

Responded to the allegation of giving money to women before elections in Bihar. On this issue, opposition leader Sanjay Raut had alleged that votes were bought by giving Rs 10,000 to women. Dharmendra Pradhan called it insulting and said that when someone has no logic left, he says such things. He said that the intelligence of the people of Bihar should not be underestimated.

Why did the Grand Alliance lose?

On the crushing defeat of the Grand Alliance in the Bihar Assembly elections, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the opposition neither ran a clear campaign nor put forward any concrete issue. Instead of development, he was involved in things like vote theft. On the other hand, huge public voting created an atmosphere in favor of NDA.

Did Muslim and Yadav votes come to NDA?

When Dharmendra Pradhan was asked whether Muslim and Yadav votes came to NDA, he refused to comment on this question. He said that the social basis can be analyzed only after detailed results, but his policy is to take all sections along, Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.

Who will become the Chief Minister? BJP’s or Nitish Kumar again?

This remained at the top among the most asked questions during the interview. BJP has emerged as the largest party, hence it is believed that the Chief Minister may be from BJP, but Dharmendra Pradhan said that the decision will be taken jointly by NDA. He also praised Nitish Kumar and described him as an experienced leader. That is, he neither said clearly yes nor denied.

Why was there no resentment against Nitish Kumar?

Dharmendra Pradhan was asked a question related to Nitish Kumar, why was there no anger towards him? On this question, he said that Nitish Kumar’s credibility, administrative experience and unity of the alliance are his strengths. He reiterated that every party gets equal respect in NDA.

Is Dharmendra Pradhan going to become BJP President?

When Dharmendra Pradhan was asked whether he is going to become the BJP President, he smiled and said that right now he is just enjoying the laddu of Bihar’s victory. He jokingly said that the party president is not elected sitting in a TV studio.

After Bihar now the target is Bengal

In his victory address, Prime Minister Modi said that the next big campaign will be run in Bengal. Regarding this, Dharmendra Pradhan said that when the Commander-in-Chief has given orders, the workers start making full preparations.
