Apart from this, earlier if the address recorded in the mutual fund account and the address given in the KYC of the nominee were different, then many more documents like affidavits and declarations were asked, but now the AMC can settle the claim considering the latest address recorded in the KYC. Not only this, now even if there is a slight difference in name or signature, the claim will not be returned again and again. The claim will be processed after investigating them as per the prescribed procedure.

What will be the benefit to the claim takers?
After this change made by SEBI, it will be much easier for the people getting claims. In such a sad situation, he will heave a sigh of relief. For example, earlier due to a small mistake, families had to submit documents again and again, due to which it took several weeks or two months for the claim to be completed. But after these new rules this will not happen. After this, claim can be made easily and claim will also be received easily.
