Royal Challengers Bangalore has released its retention list for IPL 2026. RCB has released 8 players including international stars like Liam Livingstone and Lungi Ngidi. 17 players including Virat Kohli, Phil Salt and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been retained.

RCB won the IPL 2025 title under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar. Patidar can be seen captaining this matter also. Bengaluru has retained 11 Indian players, while 6 foreign players have been dismissed.

Liam Livingstone released

England all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been released by Bengaluru. Apart from him, RCB has shown the way out to two other senior players in the form of Mayank Agarwal and Lungi Ngidi. Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and other experienced players including Jitesh Sharma and Krunal Pandya will try to take Bengaluru to another title.

RCB’s retention list: Rajat Patidar (captain), Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Phil Salt, Jitesh Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Swapnil Singh, Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethel, Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Nuwan Thushara, Rasikh Salaam, Abhinandan Singh and Suyyash Sharma.

RCB released these players: Swastik Chikara, Mayank Agarwal, Tim Seifert, Liam Livingstone, Manoj Bhandage, Lungi Ngidi, Blessing Muzarabani, Mohit Rathi

16.4 crores left with Bengaluru

After retaining 17 players, Royal Challengers Bangalore are left with Rs 16.4 crore in their purse. In the auction, Bengaluru team can buy maximum 8 more players, out of which it is mandatory to have 2 foreign players.
