At this time, very good news has come from the Indian Meteorological Department for the youth who are dreaming of government jobs. The department has announced recruitment on many vacant posts of project positions across the country. This is a big opportunity for the candidates who have been waiting for a long time. According to official information, the application process for this recruitment will start from 24th November and will continue till 14th December 2025.
Only online applications will be accepted for this entire campaign, hence no candidate is required to send offline form. To apply, the form can be filled by visiting the official website of the department, mausam.imd.gov.in.
This is an important qualification
This recruitment of Indian Meteorological Department has been opened for candidates with different educational qualifications. For many posts, candidates are required to have M.Sc. It is necessary to pass, while some posts demand doctoral degree along with B.Tech. There are also such posts in which M.Tech will be given preference.
Apart from this, candidates having Bachelor’s degree in technical subjects like Science, Computer, IT, Electronics and Telecom can also apply. For some posts, it has been made mandatory to have a Bachelor’s degree along with good computer skills. The department has clarified that experience is also necessary for some project posts, hence candidates should take information regarding verification of their documents from the notification only.
What is the age limit required?
The maximum age for different posts has been fixed at 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years. Age will be calculated as on 14th December 2025. Reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per government rules. The department has advised the candidates to check their age and qualification carefully before applying so that no mistake is made.
Salary will be this much
Indian Meteorological Department has also fixed an attractive salary in this recruitment, which is one of its biggest features. Project Scientist-E will get a monthly salary and HRA of Rs 1,23,100. Project Scientist-III will be given HRA of Rs 78,000, Project Scientist-II Rs 67,000 and Project Scientist-I Rs 56,000. Whereas candidates selected for the post of Scientific or Administrative Assistant will get Rs 29,200 and HRA. This salary will be given as per the standards set by the government and it may also be amended from time to time.
