As soon as the trailer of spy action thriller film Dhurandhar came out, R Madhavan was the most talked about. His look is so different that people are not able to recognize him. In Dhurandhar, his look is shown to be similar to NSA Ajit Doval. Actually, Madhavan has played the role of Intelligence Office Ajay Sanyal in the film. At the trailer launch event, Madhavan told what special effort he had to put in to perfect his look.
R at the trailer launch event. Madhavan told the story of his first meeting with ‘Dhurandhar’ director Aditya Dhar. He said, ‘The day Aditya came to meet me, I was shooting for a film. As soon as I heard the narration, I said, where was this man? He is a National Award winner but where was he? This film is going to be historical.
After this Madhavan talked about his look. Madhavan said, ‘When the look test was being done, we were busy for a long time. It took four hours to get that look. The similarity we wanted seemed to be missing. Then Aditya came and said, ‘Make your lips thin. I have tried to look thin throughout the film by keeping my lips inwards. What to tell about the resemblance that has come from that. After that I felt that I was really working with scoundrels.
Couldn’t recognize Madhavan at first – Arjun Rampal
In this, along with Madhavan, Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun are in lead roles. During the trailer launch, Arjun Rampal also shared a very interesting incident related to R Madhavan. Arjun Rampal told that when he saw Madhavan for the first time on the set, he could not recognize him.
Arjun Rampal said, “When I reached Bangkok for the first time on the set of ‘Dhurandhar’, it was raining. And Maddie was shooting. So I said – He is an amazing actor man. The dialogues etc. are speaking so well. And that was Maddie. I couldn’t even recognize him. He looks very wonderful in the film.
Let us tell you that in 2025 R. This is Madhavan’s sixth film being released. The year started with ‘Hisab Barabar’. After that Tamil film ‘Test’, Hindi film ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, after that ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ and ‘Phir De De Pyar De 2’.
‘De De Pyaar De 2’ is currently running in theaters and now he is again in the news for ‘Dhurandhar’. ‘Dhurandhar’ is releasing in theaters on 5th December.
