After the statement given by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh regarding Sindh province of Pakistan, there has been a sharp reaction in the neighboring country. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has issued an official statement strongly condemning this comment. The ministry says that Rajnath Singh’s statement is a violation of international law and reflects the expansionist thinking of Hinduism.

Continuing its sharp attack on India, the Foreign Ministry said that the Indian government should pay attention to the safety of its citizens, especially the minority communities. Pakistan alleged that those instigating violence against minorities in India are not held responsible. The statement also said that India should address the problems of the people of the North-East, who are facing systematic discrimination, segregation and violence based on identity.

Pakistan again spoke on Kashmir

Pakistan also included Kashmir issue in this dispute. The ministry said that India should take steps towards resolution of the Kashmir dispute under the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. Pakistan claimed that it is ready to resolve disputes with India peacefully on the basis of international rules, but is also fully prepared to protect its security and independence.

What did Rajnath Singh say?

It is noteworthy that Rajnath Singh had said in the ‘Sindhi Samaj Sammelan’ organized in Delhi yesterday that till date the Sindhi Hindus of his generation have not fully accepted the accession of Sindh to Pakistan in 1947. He said that Sindh has always been a part of India in terms of civilization and the boundaries may change in the future, so it is possible that Sindh may again join India.

Pakistan called Rajnath Singh’s statement baseless

Pakistan termed this comment as baseless and said that Sindh is an important and integral province of its since 1947. It is the third largest province of Pakistan and its capital Karachi is an important economic center of the country. According to Pakistan, talk of Sindh joining India is just an attempt to create tension in the region and this should be avoided at all costs.
