A 16-year-old international basketball player lost his life when a pole fell on him during practice on Tuesday (25 November) in Rohtak, Haryana. After this, Haryana Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam has taken big action. The Sports Minister has issued an order to suspend the District Sports Officer. Along with this, orders have been issued to suspend the entire nursery where the incident took place.
No one will be spared – Sports Minister
Issuing orders to higher officials to investigate this matter, the Minister said that whoever due to negligence led to the death of the player, that official will not be spared under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against him so that such incidents do not happen in future. The Sports Minister also said that the entire government is with the family in this hour of grief. This is a very sad incident and has caused great personal trauma.
The dreams of players are being openly murdered – Phogat.
Congress leader Vinesh Phogat said, “The truth is that the children of Haryana are losing their lives in the fields, and the BJP government is looking for ‘development’ in papers and advertisements. This is not a failure of the system, it is a murder of the system. And with it, the children’s dreams, their faith, and their future are being killed. This is not a sports policy, this is a blatant murder of the dreams of the players.”

Meanwhile, Director General Sports wrote a letter to the sports officials of all the districts of Haryana. In this, sports officers of all the districts have been ordered to repair the dilapidated sports infrastructure in the districts. It has been asked not to use faulty sports equipment.
