The owners of RCB have already confirmed that they are going to sell the team. On the other hand, RR franchise has not said anything yet about selling the team. But it has definitely given rise to the rumours. Royal Challengers Bangalore has also started the sale process, but the situation regarding Rajasthan Royals is not clear yet.

The ownership of Rajasthan Royals team is currently with Royal Multi Sports Private Limited. Manoj Badale holds the majority of shares in the RR franchise, who is backed by American investment company Redbird Capital Partners. Till now, no statement has come from Rajasthan Royals Management regarding the sale.

Rajasthan Royals have made many major changes in their team before IPL 2026. Rahul Dravid will no longer be the coach of RR team, Kumar Sangakkara will take over this responsibility in the 2026 season. The team has traded its captain Sanju Samson with CSK, in his place Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran have gone to the Rajasthan team. Rajasthan Royals had retained a total of 16 players before the auction.
