Shahrukh Khan is the King Khan of Bollywood. The superstar has given many blockbuster films in his long career and has worked with many famous film makers. However, he has not yet been directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Recently, in a conversation with Radio Nasha, Ram Gopal Varma has revealed the reason for Shahrukh Khan not working with him.
Why did Shahrukh Khan never work with Ram Gopal Varma?
During an interview with Radio Nasha, Ram Gopal Varma revealed that he had discussed some projects with Shahrukh, but nothing materialized. He said that Shahrukh is a firecracker whose energy may be too much for the film maker’s style.
Verma said, “We had many meetings, but I always felt that Shahrukh was like a live wire full of energy. My film making style is composed and intense. Limiting Shahrukh to that scope was unfair to him and the fans who expect his trademark charm and charisma.”
He further said, “At one time I had approached him for ‘Company’. But Malik’s character was to be very quiet and lazy, which was completely opposite to people’s expectations from Shahrukh. I had a great story for him, but it did not happen.”
Directors don’t make much difference in Shahrukh’s films.
He said, “When you tell Shahrukh about a scene, he immediately gets up and does it. He is amazing, I felt that there is nothing for me to do in his film. In his films, the director does not make much difference because he can handle the camera completely himself. This is a completely different kind of stardom.”

Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukherjee, Jaideep Ahlawat, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Saurabh Shukla, Abhay Verma, Karanvir Malhotra and Suhana Khan will be seen in important roles in King.
