Tahawwur rana extradition: The US said on Thursday that sending Tawwur Hussain Rana, accused in the Mumbai attack, is an important step for those who were damaged in this attack and who are still waiting for justice.
An official of the Department of Justice said that the US has handed over Rana to India. Rana has 10 allegations of joining the 2008 Mumbai terror attack, he will now be tried in India. He was born in Pakistan and is now a citizen of Canada.

A team of 64 -year -old Rana reached Delhi on Thursday evening. This team was formed under the leadership of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). With this, discussions about Rana’s extradition for India for many days ended.

Tehwwur Rana is alleged to have planned the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in association with David Coleman Headley alias Dawood Gilani, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Harakat-ul-Jihadi Islami’s other Pakistani conspires. More than 160 innocent people died in this fierce terrorist attack and about 240 people were injured. The Government of India has declared Lashkar-e-Taiba and Harkat-ul-Jahaadi Islamic as a terrorist organization under the illegal activities (prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).
