The wedding took place in a small and private ceremony in the gardens of ‘The Lodge’, the Prime Minister’s official home in Canberra. Jodi Hayden works in the finance sector and with this marriage, PM Anthony Albanese has made a new record. He has become the first Prime Minister in the last 124 years of Australia to get married while holding office.

The couple is going on a five-day honeymoon trip

Soon after the wedding, the couple will also go on a five-day honeymoon within Australia from Monday. Prime Minister Albanese, who divorced his previous wife in 2019 and has an adult son, Nathan, met Jodie Hayden five years ago during a business dinner in Melbourne.
