Rohini Acharya shared a video of lathi charge with her X handle. Along with this video he wrote, “Disagreement should be answered through dialogue, not by use of force…”
She further writes in the post, “It is the constitutional right of citizens, political parties and groups to protest in a democracy. Lathi charge and any kind of repressive action taken by the government on the protesters is an attack on the freedom of expression and the right to peaceful protest given by the Constitution. Every voice of dissent should be resolved through dialogue, not by the use of force.”

Rohini said- ‘To the government…’
Rohini said, “The government should work through the rule of law, exercising transparency and restraint on every protest being conducted with legitimate questions and issues, but it is a matter of serious concern that in its 12 years of rule, the Modi government has tried to suppress every protest only through dictatorial methods and police repression.”

On the other hand, RJD’s chief spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav has cornered the government. He said through one of his X-posts, “The bigoted rulers and their pet system sitting in Delhi should listen with open ears! The youth of the country demanding their rights on the streets are not criminals. This is the legitimate anger of the youth against the rotten and dishonest education system, which the RSS and Nagpurian forces have completely made their property.”
