Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the registration process for recruitment of Constable (GD) and Rifleman (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces, Secretariat Security Force and Assam Rifles. This is a golden opportunity for the youth who dream of a job in the country’s security forces. The application process has started from December 1, 2025 and candidates can submit applications till December 31, 2025.
This time the recruitment campaign is quite big, because a total of 25,487 posts will be appointed. Among these, maximum opportunities are available in two big forces, CISF with 14,595 posts and CRPF with 5,490 posts. Apart from this, thousands of vacancies will also be filled in BSF, SSB, ITBP, Assam Rifles and SSF. According to the Commission, the computer based examination of SSC GD will be conducted between February to April 2026.
What will happen when?
Talking about the dates related to the application process, the forms will be filled till December 31, while the last date for fee payment is January 1, 2026 at 11 pm. If there are any mistakes in the application, candidates will get a chance to make corrections from 8 to 10 January 2026. After this, computer based examination will be conducted between February and April, in which lakhs of youth will participate.
How many appointments will there be in which force?
This time SSC has set a target of recruitment on a total of 25,487 posts. There will be recruitment on 616 posts in BSF. This time, in CISF, which is the largest security force, soldiers will be recruited on 14,595 vacancies. CRPF, which plays the biggest responsibility of security across the country, will have recruitment on 5,490 posts. After this, 1,764 posts will be appointed in SSB, 1,293 posts in ITBP, 1,706 posts in Assam Rifles and 23 posts in Secretariat Security Force. Thus, a total of 23,467 posts have been earmarked for male candidates and 2,020 posts for female candidates.
10th pass youth can also apply
The educational qualification for SSC GD Constable has been kept quite simple. It is mandatory for the candidate to have passed class 10 from a recognized board. This means that even youth with less education can get a government job through this recruitment.
age limit
The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 23 years as on January 1, 2026. Under government rules, SC, ST, OBC and Ex-Servicemen will be given relaxation in maximum age.
selection process
SSC GD recruitment is conducted in several stages. First there will be a Computer Based Test (CBT), in which questions from General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematics and English/Hindi will be asked. This will be followed by Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), in which the candidates will be tested on the basis of race, height and other physical parameters. Candidates who will be successful in these three stages will have to go through the process of medical examination and document verification. Final selected candidates will be appointed in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles or SSF.
how much salary
In this, candidates get a monthly salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. Along with this, dearness allowance, risk allowance, ration, uniform, medical and travel allowance are also given.
How much is the application fee?
The application fee has been kept at Rs 100. However, no fee will be charged from women, SC/ST candidates and ex-servicemen.

- Complete your One-Time Registration (OTR) on the website.
- After registration, login and click on the application link for Constable GD Exam 2026.
- Fill the application form correctly and ensure that all the information matches the documents.
- Take your photo with the live camera on the website.
- Upload the scanned copy of your signature in JPEG format.
- If charges are applicable, make payment through UPI, Net Banking or Card.
- Check the application once again and submit it.
- Finally, download a copy of the form and keep it for further reference.
