Due to Sanchar Sathi app, there is a turmoil in the politics of the country. Meanwhile, opposition leader Priyanka Chaturvedi has reacted to the statement of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, in which it has been said that no spying of any kind is being done through this, nor is there any kind of call monitoring. If you want then activate it, if you don’t want then don’t activate it. If you want to keep it in your phone then keep it, if you don’t want to keep it then don’t keep it. If you want to delete, you can delete the app, it is not mandatory.
When Jyotiraditya Scindia made this statement, Priyanka Chaturvedi called it a victory for the public. He said that the government has changed this decision, it is a victory for the public, because earlier in the order issued by the government, it was clearly said that the mobile companies should send this app by installing it on the phone, which cannot even be deleted. However, before the government’s decision, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday (December 2, 2025) alleged that it is a ‘spying app’ regarding the Department of Telecommunications’ directive to have the ‘Sanchar Sathi’ app already present in the new mobile handsets. The government is trying to turn the country into a dictatorship.
Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary had issued notice
Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary had given notice against Sanchar Sathi app. He said, “The right to privacy is an integral part of the fundamental right to life and personal liberty under Article 21 of the Constitution. The DoT’s direction to smartphone manufacturers and importers to pre-install the ‘Sanchar Sathi’ app in such a way that it cannot be removed is a serious violation of this fundamental right.” He said such a provision enables mass surveillance and creates the fear of citizens’ every movement, interaction and decision being constantly monitored without adequate safeguards or parliamentary oversight.
