How many crores can ‘Dhurandhar’ open with?
According to Hindustan Times report, till a few weeks ago, many were predicting that ‘Dhurandhar’ would surpass ‘Chhaava’ and ‘War 2’ (Hindi version) with the biggest opening of any Hindi film this year. However, considering the current situation, opening more than Rs 25 crore now seems quite difficult. Trade experts estimate that ‘Dhurandhar’ will earn Rs 18-20 crore in India on its first day, some are even estimating around Rs 15 crore. Either way, the film will be nowhere near the two highest opening Hindi films of this year – ‘Sayara’ (21.50 crore) and ‘Chhaava’ (31 crore). Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’, which is often considered a ‘competitor’ to Dhurandhar, is far ahead in 2023 with a record opening of Rs 64 crore.
Will Ranveer become the biggest opener after Covid?
Trade analysts expect that there will be a significant increase in the booking of the film by Thursday night. Currently, ‘Dhurandhar’ will easily surpass the Rs 12 crore nett opening of Ranveer Singh’s ’83’, making it Ranveer Singh’s biggest opener after the pandemic.
