Recently, a Pakistani defense expert and former Air Commodore Khalid Chishti said many important things in a TV interview while giving his opinion on India-Pakistan relations, China-India tension and regional security. He said that the strength of any country’s army is visible when the country strengthens its preparations during times of peace. According to him, real victory is not decided on the battlefield, but in the environment created before the war.

Experts told in very clear words that when any threat emerges, then buying new fighter aircraft or deploying advanced weapons is just imagination. Real ability is built gradually. He said that the security of any nation remains secure when its soldiers are full of confidence and the country continues to strengthen their preparedness. In their interview, Pakistani experts, while referring to some incident, claimed that India was ready against us with 85 fighter jets. There were 6-7 missiles mounted on it. According to this, 300-350 missiles were coming to attack us. There was pressure on us.

India-Pakistan border tension

Referring to the developments that took place after 2019 in the interview, the expert admitted that the atmosphere created between the two countries sometimes makes the situation worse. In his words, the situation at the border keeps changing every moment and a small misunderstanding can turn into a big problem.

Speaking on the issue of Ladakh, the expert referred to 1962 and said that this area has always been sensitive. He accepted that China’s military capability is huge and India also stands as a strong power today. Any kind of conflict between the two nuclear nations can affect not only these two countries but the entire region. He suggested that only dialogue and compromise could ensure future stability. He further said that the military capability of modern India is many times more than that of 1962.

Air power, missiles and the real picture of modern war

Discussing air power, the expert said that modern war is not won only by fighter planes flying in the sky. Today’s battle is decided by cyber security, information control, electronic technology and drone surveillance. He said that countries should now develop their military thinking from a multi-level approach, because the world’s wars have changed.

Asia’s peace is the path to world progress

At the end of the conversation, the expert stressed that India, Pakistan and China will have to reduce their differences. In his view, the stability of Asia strengthens the economy of the entire world. He also said that when countries give priority to peace, the pace of development accelerates and new generations inherit opportunities and not conflicts.

Two-front war is not our capability: Pakistan

At the end of the interview, the officer admitted that Pakistan’s army is not ready to fight a long war on two fronts. He said that the conflict with India was not a desire to show aggression, but a compulsion of circumstances.
