Punjab captain Abhishek Sharma made a century partnership for the first wicket with Simran Singh, both scored 106 runs in 57 balls. Simran Singh also played an explosive innings, he scored 50 runs in 28 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours. Simran was dismissed by Mohit Rathi and Abhishek by Ravi Chauhan. After this, Naman Dhir also scored a quick half-century, he scored 54 runs in 22 balls at a strike rate of 245. In this innings, Naman hit 6 sixes and 2 fours.

Abhishek Sharma has become the first Indian to hit 100 T20 sixes in a calendar year. He has hit 101 sixes in 36 T20 innings played in the year 2025. Nicholas Pooran holds the record for hitting most sixes in a year. The explosive batsman from West Indies hit a total of 170 T20 sixes last year.
Just a few days ago, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan also completed 100 T20 sixes in the year 2025. He also became the first player to do so for his country. Let us tell you that Abhishek is the sixth batsman in the world to hit 100 T20 sixes in a year.

Nicholas Pooran is the batsman who has hit the most number of sixes in T20 in a calendar year, he has done this twice. In 2024, he hit a total of 170 sixes, whereas this year he has hit 103 sixes.
Austrian batsman Karanbir Singh has hit 122 sixes in T20 this year. Heinrich Klaasen had hit 105 sixes last year. Sahibzada Farhan hit 100 T20 sixes this year.
