Punjab captain Abhishek Sharma made a century partnership for the first wicket with Simran Singh, both scored 106 runs in 57 balls. Simran Singh also played an explosive innings, he scored 50 runs in 28 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours. Simran was dismissed by Mohit Rathi and Abhishek by Ravi Chauhan. After this, Naman Dhir also scored a quick half-century, he scored 54 runs in 22 balls at a strike rate of 245. In this innings, Naman hit 6 sixes and 2 fours.

Austrian batsman Karanbir Singh has hit 122 sixes in T20 this year. Heinrich Klaasen had hit 105 sixes last year. Sahibzada Farhan hit 100 T20 sixes this year.
