Politics in Punjab has intensified after the statement of Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former MP and senior Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu. Now Aam Aadmi Party’s reaction has also come forward regarding this. AAP spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal supported Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s statement on Congress. He said that what would be the condition of a party in which, leave alone winning, one allegedly has to pay Rs 500 crore even to become a candidate. He also said that there is so much division in Congress that nothing can be done for the party.
Speaking to the media in Amritsar, Aam Aadmi Party’s chief spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “My sister Navjot Kaur Sidhu has told the truth in her statement. It is clear from her statement that Congress is the most corrupt party in the country. Forget about winning, in a party in which one allegedly has to pay Rs 500 crore even to become a candidate, then you can see what will be the condition of that party.”

‘Chair hunger caused great harm to Punjab’
Dhaliwal further said, “Navjot Kaur Sidhu has also said that five people are claiming to become the Chief Minister in Punjab. The condition of the party is so bad, there is so much division that nothing will be achieved in the party. His eyes are only on the chair. They just want to get a chair somehow. This hunger for power has caused great harm to Punjab. The party is over.
What did Navjot Kaur Sidhu say?
Pointing to the internal strife going on in the Punjab unit of Congress, Navjot Kaur Sidhu claimed that already five leaders in the party are contenders for the post of Chief Minister and they will not allow Sidhu to move forward. According to PTI, she clearly said that her husband does not have money to give to any political party, but he has the ability to turn Punjab into a ‘golden state’.
He said that Sidhu has always been deeply associated with Congress and Priyanka Gandhi, hence if the party keeps him forward then he can do better work for the state. Navjot Kaur Sidhu met the Governor of Punjab and also submitted a detailed memorandum regarding law and order and development related issues in the state. After meeting the Governor, Navjot Kaur Sidhu said, “Law and order in Punjab is continuously deteriorating and the government does not seem serious on these issues.”
