India had a slight lead on the basis of the first innings, but the visiting team could score only 157 runs in the second innings. Chasing an easy target, the Australian team won by 6 wickets and won the five-match series 3-1. India lost the opportunity to draw the series.
India vs England: Team India was on the tour of England between June-August. The command of India was handed over to Shubman Gill. This was his first series as captain, which India managed to draw 2-2.
The England team had won the first match of the series played in Leeds by 5 wickets. Team India gave a befitting reply to the host team in Birmingham by defeating them by 336 runs and leveled the series at 1-1.

The first match was played in Ahmedabad, where India won by an innings and 140 runs on the basis of centuries by KL Rahul (100), Dhruv Jurel (125) and Ravindra Jadeja (104 not out). In this match, Mohammad Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja left their mark with the ball. The second and final match of the series was played in Delhi, which Team India won by 7 wickets.

The Indian team played a Test series at home for the second time this year, but this time it was the World Test Championship winning team. The first match of the series played in Kolkata was very exciting, in which Team India could score only 189 runs in the first innings after bundling out South Africa for 159 runs. South Africa scored 153 runs in the second innings and gave India a target of 124 runs to win, but Team India was all out for 93 runs. South Africa won this match by 30 runs.
The second match of the series was played in Guwahati, in which South Africa put India under pressure by scoring 489 runs in the first innings. Team India could score only 201 runs in the first innings. However, South Africa did not follow on.
The visiting team declared the second innings on the score of 260/5 and won the match by 408 runs after bowling out India for just 140 runs. With this, South Africa made a clean sweep of the series 2-0.
