Delhi Capitals star batsman Abhishek Porel has been accused of blackmailing a student studying medicine through personal photographs. Calcutta High Court reportedly ordered the arrest of two people including Abhishek in the case. Let us tell you that Abhishek comes from West Bengal. He plays domestic cricket for Bengal only.
The court of Justice Saugata Bhattacharya of the High Court ordered the police of Magra police station of Hooghly to immediately confiscate the electronic devices like mobiles and laptops of the accused, so that any kind of personal and objectionable pictures do not go viral.
Sexual harassment done on the pretext of love
The student alleged that she was sexually assaulted on the pretext of love. Along with this, personal and objectionable pictures and videos were also made, through which blackmail was done. Till now the police has not been able to seize any kind of electronic device.
The student’s lawyers Randev Sengupta and Akash Gangopadhyay told the court that many other women have also been trapped and blackmailed in a similar trap.
Next hearing will be held on August 11
It was told by the police that efforts are going on to arrest the accused. The court directed the police to submit the report of the action taken so far by August 11. The next hearing of the case will also be held on August 11.
