Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ has dominated the box office since its release. The film is creating havoc in India as well as at the worldwide box office. But ‘Dhurandhar’ could not be released in many countries due to which the film suffered huge losses. ‘Dhurandhar’ has been banned in Gulf countries, which has also affected the box office of the film.
‘Dhurandhar’ was not allowed to be released in 6 countries. The reason for this is said to be that the film is anti-Pakistani. Bollywood Hungama quoted sources and wrote – ‘Dhurandhar’ has not been released in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
Gulf countries did not accept the content of the film
Regarding ‘Dhurandhar’ being banned in Gulf countries, it is further written in the report – ‘It was expected that this would happen because the film is being seen as an anti-Pakistan film. Also, earlier also such films have failed to release in this region. Still, the team of ‘Dhurandhar’ tried, but unfortunately, not all countries accepted the content of the film. This is the reason why ‘Dhurandhar’ has not been released in any of the Gulf countries.
Effect of ban on box office collection
Ranveer Singh starrer film ‘Dhurandhar’ has collected Rs 274.25 crore at the worldwide box office in 6 days. Had the film been released in Gulf countries also, the film would have been able to collect more. The film suffered huge losses at the box office due to it being banned in 6 countries. However, with its 6 days’ earnings, ‘Dhurandhar’ has recovered its budget. Let us tell you that the budget of ‘Dhurandhar’ is Rs 250 crore.
Star cast of ‘Dhurandhar’
The film ‘Dhurandhar’, made under the direction of Aditya Dhar, is based on the terrorist attack on Parliament and 26/11. Along with Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt are in important roles in the film. Apart from this, Sara Arjun has made her Bollywood debut with ‘Dhurandhar’.
