India had defeated South Africa 2-1 in the ODI series. After Team India won the series, Gautam Gambhir was asked about the plans for 2027 ODI World Cup. Gambhir said, “First you have to understand that the ODI World Cup is still 2 years away. It is important that you think while living in the present.”
In the ODI series against South Africa, Virat Kohli scored two consecutive centuries and played an unbeaten inning of 65 runs in the final match, which contributed significantly to Team India’s victory.
