Joginder Rathore, a 50-year-old man, was chased by unknown assailants on a bike and fired several bullets, some of which hit him.

After this incident, the injured was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he is undergoing treatment. According to the police, at around 10.30 PM the victim’s wife called and informed about the incident, after which the team reached the spot and started the investigation.

Attacked while returning home

This incident, which took place on the night of 11 December, has spread panic in the area. Police said that Joginder Rathore was returning home on a bike with his worker when another bike riding team coming from behind suddenly started firing. Out of the bullets fired, three bullets hit Joginder. At present his condition is said to be stable by the doctors. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area so that the attackers can be identified.

What did the police say on the matter?

DCP Shahdara Prashant Gautam said that he had received a call around 10.30 pm from a woman in which she said that her husband had been shot. The police team immediately reached the spot and saw that Joginder had been fired upon from behind. According to IANS, he told that Joginder is 50 years old and is a resident of Balbir Nagar. The DCP said that it is too early to say who the attackers were and what was the reason for the attack. The investigation is being done from many angles.

The police have increased security in the area and have also started questioning the people nearby. The investigation teams are trying to find out whether personal rivalry, criminal gang or some old dispute is involved in this incident. Doctors are keeping an eye on Joginder’s condition. Police have registered a case and said that only after the initial investigation, concrete information on the identity of the attackers and the reasons behind the attack will emerge.
