Last Monday (December 15, 2025), Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had removed the hijab of a Muslim woman while giving appointment letters to AYUSH doctors. The opposition is cornering Nitish Kumar on this. Meanwhile, now minister in Nitish government Mohammad Jama Khan has given a big statement. On Tuesday (December 16, 2025), he said about the politics taking place on this entire issue that it is a matter of regret that the level of today’s leaders has fallen so much that they do not understand what they are saying.
Jama Khan said, “The leader (Nitish Kumar) they are talking about has respected people of all castes, religions and classes in Bihar and has worked for them. Everyone knows his behavior… He does not make anyone feel that he is the Chief Minister of Bihar, he makes them feel that he is their guardian… What people are talking about yesterday is that the girl is like their daughter. This is a gesture of affection…”

‘…it hurts’
Further Minister Jama Khan said that Nitish Kumar loves people of all castes and religions living in Bihar. Respect the minority community a lot. It hurts when someone points a finger at such a leader. He (Nitish Kumar) respects everyone and loves everyone. Such things should not happen. Before making allegations, people should think about whom they are accusing. On the person who has beautified Bihar so much.”
JDU may be giving clarification on this entire controversy but Nitish Kumar is being surrounded from all sides. Be it Congress or RJD, leaders of both the parties are raising questions. While sharing the video on X, Bihar Congress has said that Nitish Kumar should resign.
