The Border Security Force (BSF), which plays an important role in protecting the international borders of the country, is giving an opportunity to sports talents to get permanent and respectable jobs. BSF has released the official notification for appointments to a total of 549 posts under Constable (General Duty) Sports Quota Recruitment 2025.
Online applications for this recruitment drive will start from 27 December 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website of BSF till 15 January 2026. After this, applications will not be accepted through any medium. The biggest feature of this recruitment is that only 10th pass is required.
Classification of posts
Out of total 549 posts, 277 posts have been earmarked for male players and 272 posts for female players. The distribution of posts has been done in such a way that participants of almost all major sports get a chance to participate in the recruitment.

More than 30 sports are included in BSF Sports Quota Recruitment. These include sports like athletics, boxing, wrestling, hockey, football, kabaddi, volleyball, shooting, swimming and yoga. Its objective is to provide equal opportunities to talents of different sports.
Age limit and reservation
The minimum age of the candidate for this recruitment is 18 years and maximum age is 23 years. Age will be calculated as on 18th August 2025. As per government rules, reserved categories will get age relaxation. SC/ST candidates will be given additional age limit of 5 years and OBC (non-creamy layer) will be given 3 years.
Salary and other benefits
Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs 21,700 to 69,100 per month under Pay Level-3. Apart from this, Central Government employees will also get the benefits of dearness allowance, house rent allowance, transport allowance and new pension scheme.
selection process
The selection for BSF Constable (GD) Sports Quota Recruitment will be held in several stages. First of all, scrutiny of online applications and sports certificates. After that there will be document verification in which educational and sports certificates will be checked. In the Physical Standard Test (PST), measurement of height, weight and chest will be taken. In the final stage, merit list will be prepared on the basis of sports achievements. Medical fitness test of all candidates will be mandatory before selection.
application fee
The application fee for general and OBC male candidates has been kept at Rs 159. No fee will be charged from women candidates and SC/ST category candidates.
