Pakistan’s youth team won its first title by defeating India by 191 runs in the final match played in Dubai on Sunday, 21 December. Sharif made this announcement at a welcome ceremony organized for the team and its support staff in Islamabad.

After the welcome ceremony held in Islamabad, team mentor and manager Sarfaraz Ahmed told the media that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced a cash prize of Rs 1 crore for each player. Earlier, according to reports, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had announced a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh each for the players of the junior team that won the Asia Cup.
Sameer Minhas was the hero of the victory against India
In the final match of Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan defeated the Indian team by a margin of 191 runs. The hero of Pakistan’s victory was Sameer Minhas, who played an excellent inning of 172 runs in 113 balls with the help of 9 sixes and 17 fours. In bowling for Pakistan, Ali Raza bowled brilliantly and took 4 important wickets for 42 runs in 6.2 overs. Apart from Ali, Mohammad Sayyam, Abdul Subhan and Huzaifa Ehsan also took 2 wickets each.
