Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has made a scathing attack on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Kerala CM had criticized the encroachment action in Bengaluru. Shivkumar has said that senior leaders should not interfere in any matter without knowing the ground reality.

Karnataka’s Deputy CM called the comment unfortunate

During discussion with the media, Shivkumar termed such criticism as unfortunate. He said that leaders from outside the state will have to understand the reality of Bengaluru while making any kind of statements. Action was taken on this land to save public property. It was not our intention to target any particular community.

Land mafia tried to convert it into a colony

Giving a statement on the encroachment action, Shivkumar said that this place was a garbage dumping site. An attempt was made to convert it into a slum. We have asked people to migrate to new places. Some of them are also local people. The government is trying to protect public space. He said that we do not believe in running bulldozers. He has also appealed to the Kerala CM not to comment without information. We cannot promote slums. This helps in expanding the land mafia.

Kerala CM had posted on social media

Actually, Kerala Chief Minister Vijayan had made a Facebook post. In this he strongly criticized the vandalism in Fakir Colony and Wasim Layout in Bengaluru. He had described this action as very shocking. He linked this action to the Muslim community. He alleged that Muslims have been living in these areas for years. Accused the Karnataka government of adopting the North Indian bulldozer justice model.
