Uttarakhand BJP President Mahendra Bhatt received death threat, complaint lodged

A case of Uttarakhand BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt receiving death threats has come to light. He was called from an unknown number and abused and threatened to kill him. In this regard, he has given a complaint letter to the SSP of Dehradun demanding action. There has been a stir in political circles after receiving the threat.

Mahendra Bhatt told in the letter given to the police that abusive and vulgar language is being used by continuously calling his personal mobile phone from an unknown mobile number. The person calling is also threatening to kill them. According to Bhatt, he tried to explain to the caller several times that such language and behavior was inappropriate, but despite this the calls and threats continued.

BJP state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said, “The behavior of the person making the call appears to be very agitated and aggressive. This entire incident may be inspired by some political malice. The kind of language and words used have not only been an attempt to damage the political image of Mahendra Bhatt, but may also put his life in danger.

‘Threats will not be tolerated’

BJP says that such rude and objectionable behavior in public and political life is not acceptable under any circumstances. Such threats against the culture and traditions of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will not be tolerated. The party has demanded from the police that the holder of the unknown mobile number should be immediately identified and strict legal action should be taken against him.

Police started investigating the case

BJP leaders have made it clear that party workers are not afraid of such threats. Such acts motivated by political malice cannot stop BJP’s work of service and public welfare. Party workers will continue to work for the development of the organization and the state with more enthusiasm than before. At present, the police has started investigating the case and efforts are being made to reach the accused on the basis of call details.
