Punjab News: There is great news for the unemployed youth in Jalandhar Municipal Corporation of Punjab. Municipal Corporation Jalandhar has issued recruitment for a total of 1196 posts. Giving information, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sandeep Rishi (IAS) said that applications have been invited for various categories of posts. In Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, recruitment will be done on the posts of Garden Beldar, Safai Sevak, Sewerman, Road Beldar and Fitter Porter. The application process for all these posts will start from January 15, 2026. Selected candidates will be given a monthly salary of Rs 18 thousand.
According to the information released by the Municipal Corporation, the complete details of the posts are as follows-
- Garden Beldar: 406 Posts
- Safai Sevak: 440 posts
- Sewerman: 165 posts
- Road Beldar: 160 posts
- Fitter Porter: 25 Posts
Application submission process
Application forms for recruitment can be downloaded from the website of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar from January 10, 2026. The filled application forms can be submitted at the centers designated by the Municipal Corporation from January 15, 2026. The last date for submission of applications has been fixed as 27 February 2026 till 5 pm.
Reservation and Selection Process
This recruitment will be done as per the reservation rules (roster system) of Punjab Government. The decision taken by the selection committee will be considered final. Any kind of corrigendum or update related to recruitment will be issued only on the official website of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar.
Claim of transparent recruitment
Mayor Vaneet Dhir said that the Punjab government will make this recruitment process completely transparent. The government had decided to recruit on these posts about a month ago and now the process has been started, so that eligible candidates can get employment without any discrimination.
