NEET Result Rank Controversy: NTA has declared the result of NEET UG 2026 re-exam. With this, the wait of lakhs of candidates is over, but after the release of the results, a new debate has started on social media regarding the ranking. Many candidates claim that despite the examination being difficult this time, students have secured higher marks than expected. Because of this, there is a big difference in rank on the same marks, on which students are raising questions.

Questions raised on social media regarding NEET result

In a post going viral on social media platform Some students have raised questions on the transparency of the examination regarding this and have asked that despite the difficult paper, how did such a large number of students get such high marks? At the same time, some people are also saying that after good marks, their rank also decreased. However, no statement has been issued by NTA regarding paper leak or any kind of irregularity in the result.

Two students topped

In NEET 2026, Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana have jointly become the toppers of the country. Both have secured 715 marks out of 720. NTA has also released the merit list and category wise cut off along with the result, on the basis of which the counseling process for 2026-27 will now proceed.

Exam was held again after paper leak

The original exam of NEET UG was held on May 3, 2026, but it was canceled after allegations of alleged paper leak case. After this, on June 21, 2026, the examination was conducted again at 5,440 centers across the country and 14 centers abroad, in which more than 20 lakh candidates had appeared.
