Bharatiya Janata Party’s firebrand leader Sangeet Som in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has given a controversial statement regarding film actor Shahrukh Khan. Sangeet Som made sharp remarks on Shahrukh Khan in a public program calling him a ‘traitor of the country’.

Sangeet Som said in his statement that at present there are reports of violence and atrocities against the Hindu community in Bangladesh. In such a situation, according to him, some people are ignoring sensitive issues and giving priority only to commercial interests. He alleged that players are being bought and sold in big cricket tournaments like IPL and in this sequence, the team associated with Shahrukh Khan has bought a Bangladeshi cricketer for about Rs 9 crore.

The BJP leader said that when Hindus are being killed in the neighboring country, such activities are against the sentiments of the country. He said in strong words that such people should not have the moral right to live in the country.

He claimed that during the tenure of Yogi government, strict action was taken against big criminals like Atiq Ahmed and the network of criminals in the state has weakened.

It is noteworthy that in the recently held IPL auction, Shahrukh Khan’s co-owned team KKR added Bangladeshi TE bowler Mustafizur Rahman for Rs 9.20 crore.
