Mumbai Indians has launched the new jersey of its team for the Women’s Premier League 2026. The team shared the video on its official social media, in which the players were seen in the new kit. The fourth edition of the league is going to start from February 9, the complete schedule of which has come.
Mumbai Indians is the most successful team in the history of the Women’s Premier League. MI, which became champion in the first edition, had also won the title last season. In the last edition, Harmanpreet Kaur and team defeated Delhi Capitals in the final. For the upcoming season, Mumbai had bought 11 players in the auction, the most expensive of which was Amelia Kerr.

Mumbai Indians, including Harmanpreet Kaur, had retained 5 players for the upcoming season, however, the highest price is not of the captain but of Natalie Siever. Harmanpreet’s price is Rs 2.50 crore. Natalie Siver’s price is Rs 3.50 crore, which is also the most expensive player of the team.
Performance of Mumbai Indians in WPL
Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai Indians won the title in the first edition played in 2023. The team defeated Delhi Capitals in the final. However, in the second edition (2024), Mumbai was eliminated after losing the eliminator match. RCB had won the title in the second edition, Delhi was also the runner-up this season. The first match of the Women’s Premier League 2026 will be played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore on January 9 at DY Patil Stadium. The final of the tournament will be held in Vadodara on 5 February.
