The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has released the schedule of all major examinations related to Company Secretary for June session 2026. This includes CSEET, CS Executive and CS Professional examinations. After this announcement, the preparation of lakhs of students across the country has now intensified, because becoming a company secretary is being considered a strong and respectable career option in today’s time.
According to the information released by ICSI, all the examinations of June session will start from June 1, 2026. CSEET i.e. Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test is the first step for admission to CS course. All the papers of this examination will be conducted in the afternoon session. Whereas the papers of CS Executive and CS Professional examinations will be held from 9 am to 12.15 pm. Reserve days have also been kept on June 8, 9 and 10 to deal with any technical or emergency situation.
how many are working
At present around 75 thousand company secretaries are working in the country. Considering the economic development, new laws and increasing number of companies, it is estimated that by the year 2030 the country will need about 1 lakh company secretaries. This is the reason why every year 2 to 3 lakh students appear in the examinations of this course.
If we talk about CSEET exam, its schedule is as follows. There will be Business Communication on 1st June, Fundamentals of Accounting on 2nd June, Economic and Business Environment on 3rd June and Business Laws and Management paper on 4th June. The last paper will be OMR based. This exam is necessary for those students who want to take admission in CS executive level.
examination in two groups
CS Executive exam is divided into two groups. Under Group-1, there will be Jurisprudence and Common Law on 1st June, Company Law and Practice on 3rd June, Setting Business and Labor Law on 5th June and Corporate Accounting and Financial Management on 7th June. Whereas in Group-2, the examination of Capital Market and Security Law will be conducted on June 2, Economic, Commercial and Intellectual Property Law on June 4 and Tax Law and Practice on June 6.
CS professional exam will also be held in two groups. Group-1 will have ESG Principles on 1st June, Drafting, Pleading and Appearance on 3rd June, Compliance Management and Audit on 5th June and Elective Paper-1 on 7th June, which will be an open book exam. In Group-2, Strategic Management and Corporate Finance will be conducted on June 2, Corporate Restructuring and Valuation on June 4 and Elective Paper-2 will be conducted on June 6. This paper will also be open book.
