Offerings worth about Rs 23.29 crore came in Shirdi on the occasion of New Year. In this, foreign currency, gold, silver and diamonds were donated by the devotees. This information was given by the Chief Executive Officer of the institute, Goraksh Gadilkar (IPS).
Shagadilkar told that during the Christmas holidays, farewell to the year and welcome of the new year, a total of Rs 22 crore 02 lakh 61 thousand 006 cash was collected from the donation box, Rs 3 crore 22 lakh 43 thousand 388 through the donation counter, P.R. Donations of Rs 2 crore 42 lakh 60 thousand were received through toll pass, Rs 10 crore 18 lakh 86 thousand 955 through debit credit card, online donation, cheque/DD and money order and Rs 16 lakh 83 thousand 673 through foreign currency from different 26 countries.
Also, gold worth Rs 36,38,610 (293.910 grams) and silver worth Rs 9,49,741 (05 kg 983 grams) were donated. Also, on the first day of the New Year, a gold-diamond crown weighing 655 grams with an attractive Nakshikam was offered at the feet of Sri Sai Baba. The estimated value of the crown is around Rs 80 lakh and it consists of around 585 grams of pure gold and around 153 carats of precious diamonds.
6 lakh devotees ate prasad food
In this way, the institute has received a total donation of approximately Rs 23 crore 29,23,373 from various sources. Also, during this period, more than 06 lakh Sai devotees availed free Prasad food at Sri Sai Prasadalaya. Whereas more than 1 lakh 09 thousand Sai devotees have taken advantage of the food packets.
More than 7 lakh packets of Laddoo Prasad distributed
Along with this, 7 lakh 67 thousand 444 Laddu Prasad packets have been sold and Rs 02 crore 30 lakh 23 thousand 320 have been received. Along with this, 5 lakh 76 thousand 400 Sai devotees have availed the benefit of free Bundi Prasad packet.
Donation will be used here
Gadilkar told that the donations received by Shri Saibaba Sansthan are being used for Shri Saibaba Hospital and Shri Sainath Hospital, free food in Shri Sai Prasadalaya, various educational institutions of the Sansthan, charity for out-patients, various activities being started for the convenience of Sai devotees and various social works.
