UP Draft Voter List: What was the effect of SIR on the Lucknow seats where SP-BJP won in 2022? The figures will surprise you

The first draft list was released on January 6 after a thorough revision of the voter list in Uttar Pradesh in accordance with the instructions of the Election Commission of India. Now the district wise figures are surprising. A major change has also been seen in the number of voters in different assembly seats of the district in the capital Lucknow. Out of 9 seats in the capital, Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs have been elected on 7 seats and Samajwadi Party MLAs have been elected on 2 seats.

Among the 9 assembly seats in Lucknow district, Jai Devi is the BJP MLA from Malihabad (SC) seat. BJP MLA Yogesh Shukla is representing Bakshi Ka Talab assembly constituency. BJP MLA from Sarojini Nagar seat is Rajeshwar Singh. Samajwadi Party MLA from Lucknow West Assembly constituency is Arman Khan. BJP MLA from Lucknow North seat is Dr. Neeraj Bora.

BJP MLA in Lucknow East assembly constituency O.P. Srivastava is. Samajwadi Party MLA Ravidas Mehrotra is on Lucknow Central seat. BJP MLA Brajesh Pathak is representing Lucknow Cantt assembly constituency. Whereas BJP MLA from Mohanlalganj (SC) seat is Amresh Kumar.

Now let us tell you the effect of SIR on these seats-

Voters in Malihabad (Scheduled) seat decreased from 3,68,641 to 3,04,471, i.e. 64,170 voters reduced. Bakshi Pond In the Assembly this number decreased from 4,95,123 to 3,84,852, resulting in a decrease of 1,10,271 voters.

Sarojininagar Voters reduced from 6,02,159 to 4,12,974 and 1,89,185 names were removed from the list. Lucknow West Seat But 4,70,362 voters reduced to 3,28,073, i.e. a decrease of 1,42,289.

similarly Lucknow North Assembly The number of voters decreased from 4,99,019 to 3,07,422, with a decrease of 1,91,597 names. Lucknow East 4,62,625 voters in the seat reduced to 2,92,530 and a reduction of 1,70,095 voters was recorded.

Lucknow Central Voters decreased from 3,72,000 to 2,43,246, i.e. a decline of 1,28,754. Lucknow Cantonment The number of voters in the Assembly reduced from 3,65,590 to 2,22,598, with a reduction of 1,42,992 voters.

Mohanlalganj (Scheduled Caste) Voters in the seat decreased from 3,59,016 to 2,98,231, resulting in a decrease of 60,785 voters. Overall, there were 39,94,535 voters in all these assembly constituencies before SIR, which reduced to 27,94,397 after SIR. That means names of a total of 12,00,138 voters were removed from the list.
