Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda made his Bollywood debut with Shriram Raghavan’s war-based film ‘Ikkis’. This film is also the last film of veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra. ‘Ikkis’ is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. This film had a good start at the box office, although its pace slowed down during the weekdays. ‘Ikkis’ has failed to do wonders at the box office. This war drama film based on the inspiring life of Param Vir Chakra winner Arun Khetrapal was released in theaters on January 1, but till now its performance has been disappointing. It has been a week since the film was released in theaters but even after 7 days it has not been able to recover half of its budget.
After all this, if we talk about the collection of the film, after earning Rs 7 crore on the first day, the collection of the film came down to Rs 3.5 crore on the second day. But it saw improvement in the weekend and on the third day it earned Rs 4.65 crore and on the fourth day it earned Rs 5 crore. However, from Monday its earnings again started declining rapidly and it came down to Rs 1.35 crore, after which on Tuesday it showed a slight rise and earned Rs 1.6 crore.
- According to the early trend report of Sacknilk, ‘Ikkis’ has earned Rs 1.15 crore on the 7th day of its release i.e. Wednesday.
- With this the total box office collection of this film has become Rs 24.25 crore.
‘Ikkis’ could not recover half the budget even after seven days of release
‘Ikkis’, despite positive reviews from critics and audience and a powerful real life story, has failed to do well at the box office. One week has passed since the release of this film and the surprising thing is that despite the good buzz, this film has not been able to recover even half of its cost. Let us tell you that the budget of this film is said to be Rs 60 crores.
This film was already competing with ‘Dhurandhar’, now after the release of Prabhas’ Pan India film ‘The Raja Saab’ in theaters on Friday, it seems to be packing up. It remains to be seen whether this film can stand in front of ‘The Raja Saab’ or not?
