Gold Price Today: There is a decline in gold prices in the domestic future market on Thursday, January 8. Gold futures with expiry of February 5, 2026 opened at Rs 1,37,829 (per 10 grams) on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday. On its last trading day, gold on MCX had closed trading at Rs 1,37,977.
At 10:10 am on January 8, gold with expiry of February 5 was trading at Rs 1,37,234 on MCX. Which shows a decline of about Rs 750 from the previous day’s closing price. MCX Gold had reached a high level of Rs 1,37,829 in early trade.
Along with gold, the prices of silver are also falling on Thursday’s trading day. Silver with expiry of March 5, 2026 was trading at Rs 2,48,882 (per kg) on MCX. Which shows a decline of about Rs 1720 from the previous day’s closing price. MCX Silver had reached a high level of Rs 2,51,889 in early trade.
