PM Vishwakarma Yojana: The central and state governments in the country run many schemes to make people economically strong. One of these is the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana, which was started by the Central Government in the year 2023. The objective of this scheme is to provide new identity, new skills and financial support to the people involved in traditional occupations.
Today, a large number of artisans and workers are joining this scheme and taking advantage of training, tools and cheap loans. The special thing is that the government provides loan facility up to Rs 3 lakh, that too at a low interest rate.
What are the benefits available in the scheme?
PM Vishwakarma Yojana is not limited to loans only. In this, first of all the beneficiaries are given advanced training related to their work, so that both their skills and quality can improve. During the training, a daily stipend of Rs 500 is also given by the government. So that there is no problem of income while learning.

Apart from this, toolkit assistance of up to Rs 15,000 is also available for purchasing necessary tools. Talking about loan, in the first phase a loan up to Rs 1 lakh is available, which has to be repaid in 18 months. If you make timely payment, you can get an additional loan of up to Rs 2 lakh in the second phase for 30 months. In this way, total assistance is available up to Rs 3 lakh.

Who gets loan up to Rs 3 lakh?
Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, loans are available only to those people who are associated with traditional professions and want to start or expand their own business. 18 types of trades have been included in this scheme. These include fishing net makers, hammer and toolkit makers, locksmiths, masons, basket, mat and broom makers, doll and toy makers, barbers, gunsmiths, stone carvers, sculptors, cobblers and shoe makers, stone breakers, washermen, tailors, blacksmiths, boat makers and silversmiths. The loan available under this scheme is given at about 5 percent interest rate. If you are associated with any of these professions and fulfill the required eligibility, then you can apply for this scheme.
