After three days of violent protests in Iran, President Masoud Pezeshkian has made harsh remarks. He has condemned those who spread disturbance in Iranian society under the guise of rioters and terrorists. He said that America and Israel want to spread chaos and disorder in Iran by ordering riots. He appealed to the people of Iran to distance themselves from rioters and terrorists.
Iran’s President addressed the nation
President Pezeshkian, while addressing the nation on Sunday (January 11), assured the people of Iran that the government will pay attention to their demands and concerns. Along with this, he also warned that rioters will not be allowed to create disturbance in the society.
Peshakian said in an interview with Iran’s state TV channel, ‘Iranians should not allow rioters to create chaos in the society. People have to understand that the government wants justice. People are concerned; We also realize it. He said that we are ready to talk to the protesters, the authorities will listen to everything they say, but the rioters are trying to destroy the entire Iranian society.
Around 203 people killed in nationwide protests
More than 100 people are reported to have been killed allegedly in the Iranian government’s action. Meanwhile, according to AP report, at least 203 people have been killed in nationwide protests in Iran, but social activists say that the death toll could be much higher. For the first time since the beginning of the protests, Pezeshkian also presented an economic plan to provide some relief to Iranians. The country affected by the sanctions is still struggling with economic crisis.

Protestors demand removal of Khamenei regime
The protesters have demanded the removal of the regime led by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. People are protesting against the government on the streets of Tehran, while Iran’s exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has indicated that he will return and appealed to the protesters to continue the demonstrations.
