Punjab News: Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the practical exam schedule and detailed guidelines for the annual examinations to be held in February/March 2026. According to the letter issued from the board, practical examinations for classes 8th, 10th and 12th will be held from 2nd to 12th February.
Short video clips of the exam will be kept safe
Along with regular students, candidates from open school, compartment, re-appear and additional subjects will appear in these examinations. This year, the Board has taken an important decision: From the 2025-26 academic year, Computer Science practical examinations for class 12 will also be conducted by external examiners. These exams will be taken at students’ self-centres, and the question papers will be sent through an online link. During this time, the Computer Science practical exam for Class 10 will be taken at the school level, and examiners have been instructed to preserve short video clips of the exam so that they can be sent to the board if needed.
External examiners will be appointed for these subjects
The board will appoint external examiners for class 12 core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy-2, Fundamentals of E-Business, Home Science, and Computer Applications. District Education Officer will replace the duties of computer lecturers/teachers of government and private schools with other schools. Practical examinations for the remaining subjects will be conducted using question papers prepared by the respective subject teachers at the school level. The Board has directed Group District Education Officers (GEOs), Group District Managers (regional offices) and Group School Heads across the state of Punjab to ensure strict compliance with these instructions.
