Ziaur Rahman Burke spoke on the court’s decision
SP MP Ziaur Rahman Burke posted on his social media account X after the court’s decision and wrote – ‘No one is above the law – neither uniform, nor position. The CJM court’s order to register an FIR against 12 policemen including the then CO in the case of shooting of a youth during the Sambhal violence is a historic decision.
This order gives a clear message.. Be it an officer or a common citizen, anyone who breaks the law cannot escape. The SP MP has supported the court order through this post.
CJM court ordered to register FIR
In fact, Yameen, who lives in Nakhasa police station of Sambhal, had filed a petition in the CJM court on 6 February 2025, in which he had accused the police of shooting and killing his son Alam. He claimed in the petition that his son had left the house to buy some goods from the shop when he was shot.
He made 12 policemen including the then CO Anuj Chaudhary, Kotwali Inspector Anuj Tomar accused in this case. After the hearing on this matter, the CJM court has ordered to register an FIR against all of them. This decision of the court is in the headlines.
Violence broke out during the survey of Shahi Jama Masjid
Let us tell you that on 24 November 2024, on the orders of the court, the team had reached Sambhal’s Shahi Jama Masjid for the survey. During the survey, a large crowd had gathered in front of the mosque, after which violence broke out and miscreants pelted stones at the team.
