Bank of Maharashtra has announced big recruitment for apprentice posts. The bank has released the official notification related to this recruitment on 15 January 2026. Under this, a total of 600 apprentices will be appointed in various branches across the country. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the bank from January 15, 2026. The last date to apply has been fixed as 25th January 2026, hence candidates have been advised to fill the form on time.

This initiative of the bank is being considered as a golden opportunity for the youth to learn and gain experience in the banking sector. Candidates selected as apprentices will get an opportunity to closely understand the functioning of the bank and gain practical knowledge. The special thing is that this recruitment has been done for different states and union territories of the entire country.

If we talk about state-wise vacancies, maximum posts have been kept for Maharashtra. 261 apprentices will be recruited in Maharashtra alone. Apart from this, 45 posts have been fixed in Madhya Pradesh, 34 in Uttar Pradesh, 25 in Gujarat, 21-21 in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, 17 in Telangana and 15-15 in states like Bihar, Punjab, Rajasthan. One post each has also been kept for small states and union territories like Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Puducherry and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Overall, this recruitment has been prepared keeping in mind the youth of the entire country.

What qualification is required?

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the Government of India. Along with this, it is important to have knowledge of the local language of the state or union territory for which the candidate is applying. This language knowledge will have to be proved through the marksheet of class 10th or 12th.

Talking about age limit, the age of the candidate should be minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years till 30 November 2025. As per government rules, age relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class and other reserved categories. For correct calculation of age and information about the rules, candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully.

This much application fee will have to be paid

The application fee has also been decided according to the category. General, EWS and OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 150 for the application, which also includes GST. Whereas for SC and ST category candidates this fee has been kept at Rs 100. Disabled candidates have been given complete exemption in the application fee, so that more and more people can participate in this recruitment.

Selection will be like this

After completion of the selection process, the candidates selected as apprentices will be given one year training. This training will be as per the Apprentice Act 1961 and Bank of Maharashtra rules. During this, the candidates will be taught different tasks related to banking, so that they can be prepared for future jobs.

How much stipend will I get?

During the training period, candidates will be given a stipend of Rs 12,300 every month. This amount will remain the same for a whole year. However, the bank has clarified that the apprentice will not be given any other allowance or additional facility during this period. Training timings will generally be from 10 am to 5 pm, but may change as per the requirement of the bank.
