AR Rahman considered himself an outsider

AR Rahman said that Subhash Ghai asked me to learn Hindi. After this I learned Urdu. After this he learned Arabic and then Punjabi because he was influenced by Sukhwinder Singh.
‘I don’t go looking for work’

I didn’t feel anything like that, God had kept it hidden. Maybe because of the power shift in the last 8 years, now the power is with those who are not creative. This is not on my face. I came to know through others that they booked me but then the music company hired its own 5 composers. So I said ok. I have more time to spend with my family. I am not looking for work. I don’t go looking for work. I want the work to come to me. I got work because of my honesty. I get what I deserve.
