Italy has announced a 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. Italy will be playing the T20 World Cup for the first time, captained by Wayne Madsen. The 2026 World Cup will be played in India and Sri Lanka, in which the Italy Cricket Team will play its first match with Bangladesh on 9 February.

All-rounder JJ Smuts, who has played international for South Africa, is also part of the Italy squad. Smits has played 13 T20 matches in his international career so far. The team also includes Jaspreet Singh, who bowls fast. Jaspreet comes from India and was born in Phagwara, Punjab.

Team captain Wayne Madsen has been playing for Italy for a few years, but his cricket career also started in South Africa. All-rounder Harry Manteni’s bowling average in T20 is 11, which is very good.

The 2026 T20 World Cup will be organized in India and Sri Lanka. Italy has been placed in Group C, whose first match will be with Bangladesh on 9 February. The second match will be against Nepal on 12 February, it will face England on 16 February and the last match in the group stage will be with West Indies on 19 February.
