An escort car traveling in the convoy of former Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar met with an accident in Nuh district of Haryana on Sunday (January 18, 2026). This accident happened after a truck suddenly applied brakes near Rithath village of Pingawan area on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. However, local police say that no one was seriously injured in this accident.
Actually, the convoy of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was going from Delhi towards Jaipur. An Ertiga car (DL1CAJ4542) included in the same convoy rammed into a truck running in front of the convoy on the highway, due to which its front part was completely damaged. After this horrific road accident, the Ertiga car was completely broken from the front and its engine also came out.
The truck’s tire burst suddenly on the highway
The reason behind this entire incident is said to be burst tire of the truck going from Delhi to Jaipur. Actually, the tire of the truck running in the number one lane of the highway suddenly burst and the truck stopped in the middle of the highway. Due to this, the Wagon-R car coming from behind also collided. Meanwhile, the pilot car of the convoy of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar coming from behind also suddenly applied brakes. Due to this, the Escort Ertiga car of his convoy also collided.
Local police immediately reached the spot, restored traffic
After receiving information about the accident on Delhi-Jaipur Highway, the local police immediately reached the spot and handled the situation. After this, the police removed all the vehicles from the spot, after which the traffic could be restored again.
The local police has started investigating the incident and is probing the reasons behind the burst tire of the truck. Pingawan SHO Nikhil Kumar said that the matter is being investigated. This incident happened due to fog. After this accident, the police has appealed for regular checking of vehicles and cautious driving on expressways and highways to avoid such road accidents.
