Now fog and cold have started reducing in Uttar Pradesh. People are feeling a lot of relief since last three days. But, now the weather is going to change once again. The effect of Western Disturbance will be visible in UP from today, due to which there will be rain and strong winds along with thunderstorms in many districts. Whereas hailstorm warning has been issued in 15 districts of the state including Agra and Mathura. The cold will also increase due to rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance is becoming active in UP from Thursday, January 22, whose effect will be visible in the western division. During this period, there is a possibility of very light to light rain at some places in the state. Whereas in Purvanchal the weather is expected to remain dry. No specific warning has been given in both the divisions.
It will rain here in UP today
In UP today, partly cloudy sky and rain is expected in Noida, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Hathras, Aligarh, Sambhal, Hapur, Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur and surrounding areas.
There will be an increase in rainfall in the state on Friday and there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at many places in the western division. During this time, there will be thunder along with thunderstorms and winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 km per hour, there is also a warning of heavy hailstorm at some places. Due to which farmers’ crops may be damaged. There is a warning of rain and strong winds at some places in Eastern UP.
Hail warning in these districts
On January 23, there has been a warning of thunderstorms and hailstorm with strong winds in Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Firozabad, Hathras, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Moradabad, Bijnor, Rampur, Bareilly, Badaun, Kasganj and Etah and surrounding districts. Heavy rain is expected at almost all places in Saharanpur, Shamli, Meerut, Baghpat, Amroha, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar and Rampur.
There will be light rain in the eastern division on January 24. The weather will be dry in western UP. On 26th and 27th January the rain will again become moderately heavy. Due to rain, the maximum and minimum temperatures will drop rapidly in the next two days. During this period the mercury will drop by 2-4 degrees and cold will increase.
