He also cited a World Bank study. It is told that every year in India, 1.7 million i.e. 17 lakh people die due to pollution. This accounts for 18% of the deaths in India. Pollution is a problem in India, it also affects health.

He said that dealing with pollution on a war footing is the way forward for India. He said that India should get rid of old rules and regulations. These have pushed the business back. We should move forward on the path of economic reforms. Especially in the matter of land and labourers. The fight against pollution should be a top mission for India.
